It feels like second nature to spend time with Diarmuid. It feels fun and most importantly it feels correct, like this was something he was always meant to do. The man doesn't tarnish and shame him in the slightest, doesn't slow him down or question him overmuch. If he cannot have an Enkidu, he thinks, at least he might have a Lancer.
And maybe, in this case, a Lancer would serve him far better than a Saber ever could.]
