[Diarmuid nods in understanding. He feels the same sometimes. Even in a court that is suppose to thrive on such gestures, there are so many who find his manner odd or old-fashioned.]

Denying ourselves things is a common trait among kings and knights. Perhaps not a healthy one, but one we share nonetheless.

It is hard to argue with their words when I find myself having trouble understanding the others on a more personal level.

[Diarmuid nods to acknowledge her words, but doesn't answer right away because he is unsure how to answer. He has never really had a problem connecting with people. In fact, he connects to them far too well sometimes. There is no way he can understand just how lonely it must feel to feel like you are always on the outside looking in.]

I don't suppose you know anyone else who has an issue similar to the one you have?

As far as I know, it is not ready to be awakened. Unfortunately, I do not have much information on it myself. I will be conducting my own research at Caer Scima under the premise of wishing to learn of this war's history and the might of my own court.

[None of that could be considered a lie as it was true. She just had other reasons beyond that.]

I recently found out myself that I am sadly lacking in knowledge about many aspects of this place's history. I will probably use a similar method to look for information in that case. Here's hoping that one of us finds what we are looking for.
