Well...that is good.

[He really didn't want to have to explain to the High-Queen why his wife destroyed the kitchens. Diarmuid is about to tease her more about her cooking when something catches his attention.]

What do you mean you aren't wearing your sash? Did it get lost?

Yes, dear heart. While cooking I lost all of my clothes in an accident and I need you to come home and keep me warm.

[Diarmuid raises an eyebrow at her when he hears this. While he might not have caught what she was trying to hint at before, it's rather hard to miss her intent now.

Of course, what fun is it to let her know he's caught on so soon?]

Beloved, I know cooking isn't really your thing, but this takes it to a new level. However, by the time I get back, you might have already caught a cold. Surely, there must be someone whose clothes you can borrow...

[There is a choking sound and then it is obvious Diarmuid drops his locket. Fortunately, he is fast enough to catch it before it drops too far, but he almost falls out of the tree doing so.]

She better not be!

[Or else he is never going in there again...]

[Well, that wasn't entirely expected. Entirely. Grainne watches the rotating image with her lips squished to the side.]

Well, I had been teasing you. She tried to seduce you, didn't she?

[Diarmuid answers quickly, as he regains his balance.]

I mean...she watches me and sometimes gives me odd looks, but she hasn't tried anything.

[He almost adds 'yet' to that, but doesn't. The last thing he wants to do is think about that...]

But you are worried she might. I had wondered if there was something going unspoken there between the three of you.

Well, come home, my knight. I will keep you company and in the morning we can speak of it before you go back to hunt. I have more than dinner waiting here for you.

I do. [She smiles brightly at him, and it only widens when he tells her of the surprise.]

Oh, I thought you were simply teasing me about that... I suppose I shall have to have dinner taken to your room then.

I will be back in about an hour. I would like to search this area one last time before returning. And, no, I was not teasing. Why don't you go see if you can find it before I get back? It will give you something to do.
