[There is a choking sound and then it is obvious Diarmuid drops his locket. Fortunately, he is fast enough to catch it before it drops too far, but he almost falls out of the tree doing so.]

She better not be!

[Or else he is never going in there again...]

[Well, that wasn't entirely expected. Entirely. Grainne watches the rotating image with her lips squished to the side.]

Well, I had been teasing you. She tried to seduce you, didn't she?

[Diarmuid answers quickly, as he regains his balance.]

I mean...she watches me and sometimes gives me odd looks, but she hasn't tried anything.

[He almost adds 'yet' to that, but doesn't. The last thing he wants to do is think about that...]

But you are worried she might. I had wondered if there was something going unspoken there between the three of you.

I do. [She smiles brightly at him, and it only widens when he tells her of the surprise.]

Oh, I thought you were simply teasing me about that... I suppose I shall have to have dinner taken to your room then.

[The sly look on his face is a clear sign he is only joking.]

As much as I would like to know, don't tell me now. I want it to be a surprise.

[There is a slight rustling as he jumps out of the tree.]

I will be back in about an hour. I would like to search this area one last time before returning. And, no, I was not teasing. Why don't you go see if you can find it before I get back? It will give you something to do.
