Timeskip July // Compass
[The voice that comes across the compass as Diarmuid starts the message is one that will be unfamiliar to Alyosha, though Diarmuid will soon give the voice a name.]
Lén, aren't you suppose to be resting? I swear I am going to tie you to your bed if you don't stop hovering over me. Let your arm and ribs heal!
[There is an unhappy muttering and then footsteps as Lén leaves the room. After several moments of silence, Diarmuid finally turns back to the compass and Alyosha.]
He is not so unknown as I thought then. I...
[Diarmuid sighs. No, he's not going to make excuses. He's just going to deal with whatever comes of this the best he can.]
I'm sorry. Are Molly and her loved ones all right? How much damage did I do in my foolishness?

He's known, alas. And he has agents, designs of his own which are clearly very political. Him knowing about her is now a gargantuan unknown I cannot ignore.
Nothing's happened yet, but I won't allow it to get to that point. I'd like to enlist your help, if you can spare it, to help her and her kin move.

[Diarmuid is very relieved that it is not too late to undo some of his mistake, and it is clear on his face as he sets the compass on the desk. There is the sound of papers shuffling around as he digs out a map and some paper. Then, he settles into his chair again.]
Do you know where she is to go? Or does she have thoughts? Wherever it is, I will see her and her family there and make sure they are well set up before I leave...

[ She hummed quietly. ]
Only accompany her to the Gulf, well beyond Unseelie reach. I'll forward you a stipend for the road, plans and arrangements set far enough into the future to accommodate.

[Diarmuid takes a moment to note down very sparse notes in Ogham and then slips the note into one of his pockets.]
I will do as you say, though it doesn't seem like nearly enough...
[He pauses suddenly, expression becoming sheepish.]
I shouldn't ask anything of you after what just happened, but do you think sometime you would be willing to meet with my man Lén? Once he has recovered, that is. He's a native and has shown a surprising talent for this kind of thing. He might be of some use to you. I sent him into the underground in Daonna and he was rather successful in his tasks.
[Maybe a little too successful considering those injuries...]
