[It takes Diarmuid a bit longer to get into position than Thrall because he has to make sure Oscar is ready as well. While the cub is excited and ready to go for another animal, he is still young and needs just a bit of an added push to get him focused in the right direction. Once that is done, though, Diarmuid steadies himself, calls his spear into hand and then sends up his own thanks to the spirits and whoever else might be listening. Finally, he makes eye contact first with Oscar, then Thrall, and nods.
