But they're the first words out of Gilgamesh's mouth anyway, it's fine, to convince himself of another truth—that he hadn't committed a grave error and sinned against this world's version of God and so sealed his fate as a result. The wound on his hand has already healed and the wound from Gae Dearg has started to; no such luck with the Shuck's bite, which oozes blood so dark it's turned nearly black.
