[Most of the time she forgot that half of her friends and allies were spirits, but in that time she'd spent in the dream, she almost felt like she understood Jack. She hadn't noticed it before, having spent much of her own young life without friends at all, just Angus, but there had been a deafening loneliness when she'd thought about her Drabwurld friends.]

No, no. Of course I don't mind that you did.

[She smiles faintly, the look on Merida's face one of equal embarrassment before she shakes her head, drawing her knees up and resting her hands and chin on them, tilting her head in thought.]

I'm lucky that you were with me, otherwise I would likely be buried under a pile of snow in th' courtyard.

I was, though, so lets not worry about what might have happened if you had been alone, okay?

[Diarmuid watches her as she curls in on herself. Even if she is okay physically, it's obvious she has a great deal going on mentally. He can't help but wish he was there to hug her. Actually...]

I've talked to Grainne about moving, you know.

[It's a sudden change in topic, but maybe that will do her some good.]

[Today's been emotionally taxing, that much she knows, so she doesn't want to dwell on what ifs. Her brain catching up with her body was one thing, she didn't need to think on others. Merida manages a small smile for him, before she blinks at the sudden topic change, surprised by it but not unwelcome. She perks up, lifting her head a little.]

Aye! [And then.] Have you figured out where you're movin' to?

We were kind of hoping to move into the castle. If you don't mind us being there that is...

[There's a surprised look on her face before it brightens considerably.]

No, not at all! I'd love you to be here.

Wonderful! Grainne will be so excited. She is just not comfortable in Caer Glaem.

[He grows thoughtful for a moment.]

It won't take us too long to pack what we have thanks to my speed. We will probably make our way there via the rings and hopefully will be there tonight. How does that sound?

[Diarmuid won't be able to stay long because he has to take a group of refugees to the Hidden Falls tomorrow, but thanks to his ring, he will be able to at least stay the night.]

[They've talked about it before, she thinks, so she doesn't elaborate on the matter much. Instead, she smiles and nods.]

Sounds great. An' if Cu gives you any flak about it, I'll punch him.

Hopefully, it won't come to that. Is there anything you need at the castle? I can try to bring it.

[He pauses as something strikes him.]

We will be bringing a raven, a goshawk, and my bandersnatch cub with us. Is that all right?

I think we're alright for now, but I haven't had th' chance to hunt. I know you an' Cu don't need to eat, but Grainne an' I do.

[She doesn't like having to make that kind of request, and her cheeks burn from it, glancing off to the side before she shakes her head at that second question.]

I have Aiden an' Angus here. I think they'll be fine.

Just because we don't have to, doesn't mean we don't like to sometimes. I will see if I can't find a few things to bring along. Consider it a thank you.

[Diarmuid nods, glad to hear their pets will be allowed too. Especially since he has a feeling some of them would come no matter if they were welcome or not.]
