[Reno isn't tired, albeit rather sweaty and breathing hard, but the taunt does give him an extra spike of energy. Narrowing his eyes, they flick over Diarmuid's body, first at his legs and then at the sword arm bearing the longer blade.
It's a trick, of course. He guessed Diarmuid is skilled enough to watch his eyes, and with feints like he had made earlier, Reno figures he'll be expecting feints as well.
Time to oblige.
He runs forward, body angled down as if he means to strike with his EMR at one or both of Diarmuid's legs, but at the last second... down he slides, like he had earlier when avoiding the attacks, and kicks up with one leg.]
[Diarmuid watches Reno's gaze closely. He's not fool enough to think the man really will telegraph his moves so clearly, though. The slide is not too surprising all things considered, since it is a move he used before. Targeting the legs of a fighter that relies on speed and agility is a good idea, but one a fighter like that is going to be watching for.
The kick is a little more unexpected, but Diarmuid's plan of action accounts for it too.
He back flips away from the slide and the kick. However, as soon as Diarmuid's feet hit the ground again, he is moving back toward Reno. The red head is going to need time to get back to his feet. Time, Diarmuid isn't going to give him. He straddles the man and then brings both swords around to point at Reno's throat.]
[The slide had the unfortunate effect of making it more difficult to get to his feet when Diarmuid anticipated his attack so easily, enough that he had only started to lift his torso up when Diarmuid straddles him, knocking him back and bringing his arm up in defense.
Reno freezes when the swords come to bear, staring right at the man behind them. He's lost, and he knew it, but there is one saving grace.]
I yield, but ya might want to remember next time, Dee... I'm left-handed.
[The EMR nudges into Diarmuid's side a little.]
So, what now? Is there some sorta initiation rite?
Work on becoming ambidextrous then. Why limit yourself to one hand? [Diarmuid smirks and shifts his left-handed blade so that is rests lightly against Reno's wrist.]
That wouldn't do much to a servant. Meanwhile, I have your hand if not your life. Still, you did good. Really good.
[He steps back and then sheathes his swords, reaching out to help the man up.]
Do you want me to try and help you learn, or are you just unable to do it?
[He has known people like that. It's not their fault or because of lack of effort. They just cannot do it.]
A shock is good against humans, Reno, but it would hardly phase a Servant. Besides, it is magical at its source and all of us have some kind of magical resistance. You would need to overcome that first before it would even tickle.
Now, as for that initiation rite...
[Diarmuid pulls the red head forward by the hand he is still holding onto and then flicks him in the forehead softly.]
Welcome to the family, idiot.
[And, yes, that would be a hug. Don't fight. It will be over soon.]

Initiation rite? Hmm...

[Reno shrugs, taking his hand and popping up to his feet easily, still a little heated from the exercise.]
Don't get me wrong, this isn't just a baton... if I had the right materia, it'd have been charged up and given ya a nasty shock.

Idiot, huh. Seems like I fit in after all...

There are worse groups to belong to, you know. Besides, this group isn't so bad. We have Waver...
[He falls quiet and then ducks his head.]
Of course, I'm biased...

[Snort.]
You need to teach me how you do the double sword thing...

[Diarmuid laughs and then motions down the hallway.]
Do you wish to go to the gym now? I can start showing you some basics...
