Ruby City Mailbox/Inbox

You have found the Mailbox/Inbox of Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, owner and teacher of the training school, Spiral. If you have business with him or the school, please feel free to leave a message and he will get back to you as soon as possible. Considering his abilities, that might be quicker than you think...

If she is the kind to take 'may I date your son' to mean the same thing as 'may I marry your son,' you may be right.
no subject
Oh hell, she's exactly that type.

Then go talk to Jotaro, my friend. He will help you figure out how to successfully navigate the minefield that is his mother and great grandfather without the whole city being invited to a wedding when you haven't even proposed yet.

Would it...I mean, how do people do this? Do I just tell him?

[Diarmuid rests his chin in his hand and then points at Kakyoin through the watch.]
Listen, you are enough like me sometimes, that I can guess no matter what I tell you right now, you are going to replay how you imagine telling Jotaro will go over and over until you think you have it perfect. The thing is, no matter how much you do that, things will still go differently than you plan them to. It is easier just to skip all that and tell him straight out.
You might even save yourself some embarrassment in the process.

[Diarmuid gives Kakyoin a smile.]
Feeling any better?

There's one other thing; I'd appreciate it if we kept this quiet. Ishimaru mentioned something about enchanted glasses a while ago, if I remember. I was wondering, er...is there a place here one can get ordinary glasses, do you think?

[And Diarmuid knows this will be one of them, though he is more than happy to let things go as they are for now.]
Real working glasses? I am not sure if there is any store that would carry such a thing unless you get lucky enough for some reading glasses to appear in one of them randomly. The magical ones I got were from one of the Vices, Lex.
[Who, come to think of it, Diarmuid hasn't seen for a long time. That is odd considering how much he was around for a while.]
Are your eyes starting to bother you?

[Shaking his head, Kakyoin sighed to himself. God forbid anything should be easy.]
...It's not bad enough to be a real problem, not yet. But I'm starting to notice my sight at a distance isn't quite the same as it used to be--maybe it's my imagination, but I'd rather be careful.

I can't blame you on that. Considering how long it might take to find something, it is better to start looking now than when you really need them.
[He grows quiet, thinking for a moment before he speaks again.]
I suppose I could try making something, but I know there is no way I would be able to get the glass right. A picture frame is one thing, but glasses are completely different.
Oh wait! There is a place you might want to check. Do you know the odd item shop run by Mr Gold? He does manage to find a good number of different things. Who knows? Maybe he will have something? And if he is not around, Jane Foster is friends with him and she often has access to the store to watch over it when he is out gathering supplies and the like.
