Ruby City Mailbox/Inbox

You have found the Mailbox/Inbox of Diarmuid Ua Duibhne, owner and teacher of the training school, Spiral. If you have business with him or the school, please feel free to leave a message and he will get back to you as soon as possible. Considering his abilities, that might be quicker than you think...
[Text]
[He is mortified with himself.]
[Text]
You tricked me with my favorite cookies.
[Is Diarmuid really more upset he didn't get the cookies? Maaaaaybe.]
[Text]
[And that bit of deception has him hiding his face in his hands for a few seconds.]
I swear I'll make you a fresh batch of however many cookies you want.
[Text]
[Oh yeah, that is definitely pouting, and maybe just a little bit of Diarmuid being difficult. He was locked in a lantern, after all.]
[Text]
[Afonso could all but see Diarmuid pouting, not that he could blame him after the whole lantern business.]
[Text]
Once the response comes, he may wish there wasn't one.]
Make friends with Shizuo.
[Text]
When the response comes he feels relieved for a total of five seconds. Then he stares.]
What?
[Text]
[It's the only response he gets.]
[Text]
[He huffs slightly at the watch, tugging at his hair. Then there's a small sigh.]
Fine.
[Text]
[There is a few seconds of pause as if Diarmuid is finally starting to let go of his upset feelings and then a second message follows the first.]
I will help you.
[Text]
You don't have too. Plus I think it might defeat the purpose of me trying to make it up to you for the lantern by making friends with him.
[Text]
[Just grumpy. And a little pouty. It's really not that much to worry about. He put on a big scene, but he's really already forgiven Afonso. It's not like it was his fault anyway.]
[Text]
[Even if Diarmuid felt it wasn't his fault, it certainly still felt like it was. Afonso may have had his memories mixed with Captain Hook's, but he had still been himself for the most part.]
[Text]
[Diarmuid would feel the exact same way if their roles had been reversed during this little trick the town played on them.]
[Text]
[It was almost a childish response even though he couldn't deny the truth in that. It actually makes him smile a bit.]
No wonder we get along so well.
[Text]
I suppose if we are both going to stubbornly blame ourselves for everything, the plus side is there will always be one other person around who understands.
Are you sure you don't want me to come help you with the Duckodile?
[Text]
[There's a bit of jest in that question.]
You know, admittedly, I'm not sure I can ever look at Shizuo the same way knowing that he was "the fearsome Tic Toc Duckodile". It's too ridiculous.
[Text]
[He is joking as well, of course. Maybe... The cookie dough fight had been fun.]
I think I would be worried about you if you did look at him the same. Will thinking of him being so ridiculous help you get along with him better?
[Text]
[It had been one of the most ridiculous moments in his life. It had been so much fun.]
It might, unless he gets any smart ideas about trying to bite my hand off.
[Text]
[Diarmuid laughs to himself before sending another message.]
I don't think you need to worry about that now that he is back to normal. That bill doesn't have any teeth. At worst, he may try to gum you to death.
[Text]
[He grins, blowing a long bit of hair out of his eyes.]
You know, I'm just going to keep my hands safely out of his reach in case he does want to try gumming them off. I'd like to keep the rest of my limbs!
[Text]
[Isn't that a random question...]
[Text]
[God, Afonso isn't going to be able to keep a straight face next time they talk in person.]
[Text]
That depends. Would you be an Alpha Were-Duck or just a normal one?
[Text]
[Afonso put Actual Thought into that answer.]
