Let's say I've been thinking a few things recently. There's no guarantee as to how long we will stay in this place. People can disappear into thin air at any moment and return to their homes, no matter who they are. Even if they are worthy heroes or gods.
Then I look at someone like me, who is only just very lucky. My talent isn't a useful talent at all. However, that doesn't mean I shouldn't make myself useful in some way, right? I've always been happy to offer myself as a stepladder to make someone's hope shine brighter. But recently I've also been wondering if that's not the only thing I can do. Sorry, I realize that sounds a little arrogant.
It would be an insult to leave this place without doing much, though.
[While Komaeda isn't being 100% honest Diarmuid might be able to deduct some element of truth from it.]

You shouldn't underestimate how useful good luck is as a skill. Most of the time it might not look like much, but take it from someone who has never had much in the way of good luck. When those big important things happen, it is always good to have as much luck on your side as possible. It makes everything easier.
You don't sound arrogant at all. In fact, I am glad to hear you wanting to be more than a stepladder for others. You should want to be more than that. There is nothing wrong with wanting to have your efforts seen as your own and not someone else's sometimes.
Do you have any idea of what kind of things you might wish to do to help people? Helping others doesn't require having a superpower, but if you want to try and learn one anyway, knowing what you want to do would help narrow things down.
