I suppose I should apologise for falling asleep on you, Diarmuid.

[Diarmuid is so glad to see her awake, well, and...older?...that the last thing he is worried about is an apology.]
What happened? Are you okay now?
lmao identical icons
[It feels like it's been forever since she saw him last. Well, two year is close enough, no matter that it's only been a week in the Drabwurld.]
It's...a little hard to explain. I still don't understand it fully myself. I was home, but my body was here. [She glances down at her hands.] I spent two years thinkin' this was th' dream, not th' other way around.
Pfft...and I didn't even notice. LOL!
[Diarmuid is very glad she is back and unharmed. At the same time, though, her return brings with it so many questions...]
How can a person's body be here while they are also somewhere else? I know your body wasn't doing anything while you were gone, but people only have one body. Not one here and one back home as well...
lmfao like father like daughter ;3
[Merida shakes her head.]
When Jack fell asleep, we watched over his body. He...there was so much blood, because the injuries he sustained in his dreams...his world, whichever it is, came through to this world. [She glanced down at her lap.] He went through so much alone while we watched. I was lucky enough that I had my family, but he...he had no one.
[She only now understands how lucky she really was, to have her mother. Even if the Drabwurld had seemed like the dream within the dream, she could still remember everyone. Merida twines her fingers together, lifting them to her chin.]

[Diarmuid's words are soft, almost as if he doesn't realize he has said them out loud. Once he does realize, a slightly embarrassed look crosses his face...]
I hope you don't mind I called him. I didn't know what else to do with Cu Chulainn gone. I just remembered you mentioning that Jack had been through it himself and I thought maybe he could help. Plus, he would have been in a better place to let your other Unseelie friends know what was going on.
no subject
No, no. Of course I don't mind that you did.
[She smiles faintly, the look on Merida's face one of equal embarrassment before she shakes her head, drawing her knees up and resting her hands and chin on them, tilting her head in thought.]
I'm lucky that you were with me, otherwise I would likely be buried under a pile of snow in th' courtyard.

[Diarmuid watches her as she curls in on herself. Even if she is okay physically, it's obvious she has a great deal going on mentally. He can't help but wish he was there to hug her. Actually...]
I've talked to Grainne about moving, you know.
[It's a sudden change in topic, but maybe that will do her some good.]
Do you feel up to helping us?
[They can talk more then...when he will be able to hug her.]
no subject
[Today's been emotionally taxing, that much she knows, so she doesn't want to dwell on what ifs. Her brain catching up with her body was one thing, she didn't need to think on others. Merida manages a small smile for him, before she blinks at the sudden topic change, surprised by it but not unwelcome. She perks up, lifting her head a little.]
Aye! [And then.] Have you figured out where you're movin' to?
no subject
[Diarmuid gives her a shy little smile.]
We were kind of hoping to move into the castle. If you don't mind us being there that is...
no subject
No, not at all! I'd love you to be here.

[He grows thoughtful for a moment.]
It won't take us too long to pack what we have thanks to my speed. We will probably make our way there via the rings and hopefully will be there tonight. How does that sound?
[Diarmuid won't be able to stay long because he has to take a group of refugees to the Hidden Falls tomorrow, but thanks to his ring, he will be able to at least stay the night.]
no subject
[They've talked about it before, she thinks, so she doesn't elaborate on the matter much. Instead, she smiles and nods.]
Sounds great. An' if Cu gives you any flak about it, I'll punch him.
no subject
Hopefully, it won't come to that. Is there anything you need at the castle? I can try to bring it.
[He pauses as something strikes him.]
We will be bringing a raven, a goshawk, and my bandersnatch cub with us. Is that all right?
no subject
[She doesn't like having to make that kind of request, and her cheeks burn from it, glancing off to the side before she shakes her head at that second question.]
I have Aiden an' Angus here. I think they'll be fine.
no subject
[Diarmuid nods, glad to hear their pets will be allowed too. Especially since he has a feeling some of them would come no matter if they were welcome or not.]
All right. I probably better go find Grainne so we can get started. I will see you soon and I owe you a big hug when I get there.
