MAJOR CHANGES
POST BATTLE:
- His right arm is missing at the shoulder.
- There are several 'bleed over' effects from his Master/Servant bond with Alyosha because various factors. These include:
- When his emotions are high (especially when he is angry) he will grow fangs and the pupils of his eyes will slit like a snake's eyes.
- He will crave blood whenever his energy levels are low or whenever Alyosha is strongly craving it herself. This is partly because of her being a vampire, but also because on his world, blood is one of the things that carries magical energy and so he knows it is a source of gaining that energy should he need it.
- Because of Alyosha's shadow magic, when Diarmuid uses his fire ring, the fire summoned will be shadow tinted instead of normal.
- Unspecified bleed over from the sigil magic that is so tightly tied to her.
POST TIMESKIP:
- No longer introduces himself as 'Lancer.' Instead, he uses his real name.
- Diarmuid's fighting style shifts to something reminiscent of Capoeira. His right leg is used as much as possible in place of his missing right arm, and as a result of that, his right leg now is lightly armored from knee to foot with armor that is much like that which was once on his left arm. His boot has also been modified with a hidden blade. The blade can be released with a certain tap of his foot giving him a second weapon should he need it.

SUMMARY OF KNOWN DETAILS
If Diarmuid was confused going into the battle, he is even more so coming out of it. Both castles lie in ruins, untold numbers are dead on all sides, and who knows how many worlds went with them? What good came of all of it? None. None that Diarmuid can see. As a result, he is pushed even more toward favoring the neutral side. Deep down, he no longer fully considers himself Seelie. The golden cloak that marks him as a knight of the Golden Cadre is not a badge of honor, but a reminder that even knights can take the wrong path. After he recovers from losing his right arm and spends some time learning to fight again, he will focus on strengthening his bonds with his family and friends. It doesn't matter what side they are on for he does not see them as Seelie or Unseelie. They are family. They are friend. That is all that matters. When not helping Alyosha, his new Master, and fighting the Neutral fight, he will also spend time training others, building his personal training ground at Caer Glaem, and...breeding bandersnatches? Well, at least trying. Who knows if the bandersnatches will cooperate...
Of course, all of that will be put to the side when it comes time to spoil babbins and mercenar-- Err, wait, that should be spoiling babbins and LEADING mercenaries. That's better...
PLANS
- Recover from his injuries both physically and mentally.
- Adjust to his new Master/Servant bond with Alyosha and the bleed over.

[Diarmuid is quick to reassure her since he doesn't realize she is just playing the part.]
And it is perfectly normal if you haven't. Some people get something of a head start, I guess you could call it. See, your shard reacts to your hopes and your wishes. Those who find themselves in great danger or wishing very hard for something sometimes will, accidentally and briefly, activate their shards. However, if you have not found yourself in such a situation, then there is no reason for you to have felt it.

[Nod.]
I stay out of the fighting when I can, so I guess it makes sense I wouldn't have done anything like that.
no subject
Not exactly how I would explain it, but yes. That is one way to put it, though shards can be used for a lot more than just fighting. Shards work primarily by strengthening your own skills or things that you wish to strengthen. They can strengthen weapons, yes, but they can just as easily strengthen armor, walls, or even magic if you can use it. The boost is only a temporary one, but still, sometimes temporary is all you need.

[Or finish someone off. Which is likely what this will go towards.]
But wait, if it takes something drastic, that surge of emotion or desperation...how do you train for it? You're not gonna force it are you?
no subject
No, no. That is what it takes when you are activating it accidentally and unintentionally. When you are intentionally trying to do it, it is much easier to do. You just need to find that wish or that thought of home that your shard strongly reacts to so that you can learn to recognize its power, then you go from there.

[The hell does she even think of though? Lucifer, really, has no home. Although the abyss certainly counts, to define it as a 'world' would be incorrect - it spans across every world where humans exist, regardless of whether or not they believe in anything - as a manifestation of their subconscious. In essence that doesn't really define it as one to her...but that's probably what it is, isn't it?
That'd be difficult though, and she considers the 'wish' part of it too...that's probably more realistic. But what does she want? The destruction of order? For the Seelie court to be destroyed? For God to just disappear, and all the worlds be liberated?
It's hard tackling this kind of pursuit when you don't really feel 'hope' to begin with. Emotions were very difficult for her when it came to being genuine.
So...]
Hey, what do you think about? Maybe that'll give me an idea.
no subject
[If Diarmuid sounds a little surprised, it is because he is. This is the first time someone has asked him that. Does she not have much connection to her world? No family or friends?]
Well, I have a lot of things to be honest. I am a knight, so protecting my friends and family is always a big thing in my mind. Not only that, using my shard and fighting here gives me a chance to protect my whole world. I think about these things and then focus on using the energy of my shard to help me do that. If you don't have a particular person or thing you wish to protect, do you at least have some memory that is very important to use? A time, perhaps, when you were victorious despite long odds? Sometimes that can work as well.
[At least, it has been that kind of thing Alyosha had him focus on when they were working on his more advanced shard training. Maybe it will work here as well?]

[A huff.
But still...there was, wasn't there?
A long time ago now but how could she forget? When the center built it's entire civilization based on Messian culture, that world where God really had His fingers buried deep into society. There was the matter of the Kuzuryu, of her brother - loathe as she is to call him that - Satan, and even God himself coming so close to directly influencing everything...the odds really were stacked against her at that time.
And with only Lucifer acting as it's defense, things seemed grim. She thought that if she did face Satan alone, at best the two would destroy each other...but that would only be temporary, and without Lucifer, God would have destroyed all of the demon world along with that world itself, and fled with his worshipers to Eden.
But with Aleph's help, the world had been liberated. They destroyed all of God's avatars present in that world, along with Satan and the Kuzuryu, and demons, mutants and humans all rose to live alongside each other...
...not necessarily in peace, but still.
Yeah. Yeah, that definitely counted. She'd been quiet while thinking that over, but eventually gives him a nod.]
Alright, I think I've got something I can use.
no subject
Only if you insist on underestimating yourself. Knights and heroes aren't the only ones who can protect others or defeat tough challenges. I am sure there are a lot more you can use than you think.
[While she thinks, Diarmuid watches her quietly. Once she has found something, he gives her an encouraging wink.]
I knew you could find something. Now focus your mind on that memory. Pull apart the emotions you feel when you think of that time. Joy. Pain. Fear. Excitement. In amongst those emotions will be something different. Something that reacts strongly to the memory, but also in a different way than your emotions do. I realize this is a vague description, but the feeling is very personal to each person. It will hurt your search if I give you too many specifics.
