[He's faced down armies of 800 plus men, fought a giant cyclops, and hunted monstrous animals. Little intimidates him anymore.]

But what is so wrong with being cute? It's not a bad thing.

People who don't take things seriously just because they are cute are fools. Cats or dogs can be cute, but then they can turn right around and maim or kill you. My daughter was cute, but she could easily gut a man. She took her training just as seriously as her brothers did.

Yes, I had five children. Four of them were boys and one was a girl. The youngest actually. She was a curious girl, that one, and always wanted to be doing what her brothers were doing. I think the modern term for someone like that is a 'tom boy?'

I...honestly don't know. I would like to think that, but they were all still young adults when I...'left' them.

[What he doesn't know is that Clan Campbell claims descent from him which means at least a couple of his kids must have done something right...]

I do my best, but in the end it comes down to what is really in the soul of the person who I am being an example for. A person can only teach another so much, after that it is up to them.

There is really no way to know that they didn't unless we can find a copy of something that has some of the history of the Fianna and my Lord Fionn in it covering the time after I died. That is information I do not have myself.

[It's too bad that Damian can't see the smile on Diarmuid's face. He appreciates the concern. He really does.]

Sometimes the school seems a little empty now that it is so close to being finished, but I am sure that will change once it is opened and more people are visiting.

[And that is the closest he will get to admitting that just maybe, sometimes, he gets a little lonely...]
